a trip to Kacheti

Kakheti in the east of Georgia is the most important wine-growing region in the country.
it is bordered by the Greater Caucasus mountain range in the North.
the small town of Signaghi, overlooking the Alazani valley, is transformed to a main attraction for tourists.
a new museum was built showing archaeological finds and the worth seeing Pirosmani collection that has been moved  here from the National Museum in Tbilisi.
of course the day had to end with a feast with traditional music and liters of wine.
