on my family's traces

Last week-end I went to Savane, a village in the western province Imereti, to see where my Grandmother was born and lived for the first ten years of her life. The big family house was burnt in 1924, but the house where my Grand-grandfather lived until his death is still there. He is buried on the local cemetery
